The Distribution Group is a strategic asset that forms a vital part of Indofood’s vertically integrated operations. Its core function is to provide extensive nationwide distributive capabilities to ensure Indofood and third-party products are available throughout Indonesia.
To improve our logistics and distribution capacity, we have implemented a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The new Warehouse Management System complements our existing management systems and has enabled Indofood to take a further step in our digitalization transformation journey. The fully integrated solution supports the planning, monitoring, and optimizing of work process and has led to an increase in productivity levels. Operational efficiencies have been further elevated through other initiatives implemented during the year.
Our Customer Relationships Management (CRM) system, launched in collaboration with our manufacturers, tracks customer details and products sold, and enables central management of customer events and sales loyalty programs. This system operates in conjunction with our sales force automation system: Account Salesman Mandiri (ASM), that provides digital access to customer data and sales history. Having this information readily available enables our salespeople to be more proactive and provide specific and accurate recommendations to our customers.
Tapping on the growing trend of online shopping, we have accelerated our digitalization efforts, including through e-commerce and other digital platforms, to capture additional sales.
