Ensuring Occupational Health and Safety

Indofood is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors. Our Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Policy aligns with Government Regulation No. 50 of 2012 on the Implementation of Occupational Health and Safety Management System, which prescribes Indonesia’s OHS standard (Sistem Manajemen Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja or SMK3).

The principles of this Policy are:

  • To comply with applicable laws and regulations related to OHS;
  • To prevent occupational accidents and diseases through continuous improvement, review of OHS performance, accounting for technological developments, regulations, and the Company’s needs;
  • To increase awareness and competence of all employees in OHS.

 

In each Indofood operating unit, our Health and Safety Committee (Panitia Pembina Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja or P2K3), comprises a certified OHS expert and company representatives, and oversees SMK3 implementation and reporting to senior management. The committee conducts regular workplace inspections, facilitates worker participation, consults on OHS matters, and investigates workplace accidents.
