As one of Indonesia’s biggest consumer brands, Indofood recognizes the scale and impact of post-consumer packaging waste. We manage such waste through a variety of independent initiatives and collaborations.
In line with the Government’s expectations, Indofood is developing a roadmap to reduce plastic waste by 30% by the end of 2029. This is aligned with our Extended Producer Responsibility as outlined in Regulation No. 75 of 2019 concerning Roadmap of Waste Reduction by Producers published by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in December 2019.
Indofood is making progress to reduce post-consumer packaging waste. This involves innovations in packaging design and development, in manufacturing processes, as well as in post-consumption packaging waste management. The programs include external partnerships with key stakeholders.
